UndergroundDrain Repair
Buried Problems, Solved
When water backs up the downspout or surfaces mid-lawn, the buried line has failed — clogged, crushed, or root-invaded. We find the failure, fix that section, and get the system swallowing again.
The difference between Underground Drain Repair that lasts and Underground Drain Repair that fails early is usually the gutter pitch, the hangers or downspout placement. We check all of them on site rather than estimating blind, document findings with dated photographs, and price the work in writing first. Licensed contractor, fully insured, 400+ five-star reviews.

Why do underground drains stop working?
Buried drain lines fail from root intrusion, crushed pipe under vehicle traffic, sediment buildup at low spots, or a discharge outlet that has silted over. The symptom is usually water surfacing near the downspout or pooling above the buried run rather than an obvious break. Related: underground drain installation and downspout repair.

Backing Up, Surfacing, Or Sinking
The symptoms name the failure: water climbing back up the downspout means blockage; a soggy stripe or mid-lawn geyser means a breach; a settling trench line means a crushed run collapsing. We locate the trouble — flow tests, probing, and exposure where needed — then clear what clears and replace what’s crushed, upgrading failed corrugated segments to solid PVC so the same failure doesn’t rebook itself.
Half Of “Clogged” Drains Failed At The Exit
Buried lines routinely fail at their ends: pop-up emitters packed with sediment, daylight outlets buried by regrading or crushed by traffic, basins full to the grate. We rebuild outlets to actually discharge, add cleanouts if the original install skipped them, and flow-test the full path — downspout to daylight — before calling anything fixed.

What People Ask Before Booking
Water shoots back out the top of my downspout — what is that?+
A blocked buried line with nowhere to send flow — the column fills and exits where it entered. Classic underground clog signature.
Can buried corrugated pipe be cleaned?+
Rarely well — the corrugations hold the clog and resist rodding. Honest repair usually means replacing the failed run in smooth pipe that cleans forever after.
Will you have to dig up my whole yard?+
Almost never — diagnosis targets the failed section, and repairs open only what the fix requires, restored when we leave.
Why is water coming back up out of my downspout?+
The buried line is blocked with nowhere to send flow — the column fills and exits where it entered. Classic underground clog signature.
How do you unclog an underground gutter drain?+
Smooth pipe jets or rods clear; corrugated usually can’t be cleaned well and the failed run gets replaced in PVC — diagnosis first tells which you own.
How do you find a break in a buried drain line?+
Flow tests, probing along the run, and targeted exposure where the evidence points — the soggy stripe and settling trench usually testify first.
Can tree roots clog underground downspout drains?+
Corrugated pipe’s slots invite them; solid glued PVC largely locks them out — root intrusion in a repair is our cue to upgrade that run.
Why is my pop-up emitter not popping up?+
Sediment packed under the cap or a crushed line behind it — both quick fixes once diagnosed, and both left broken turn the whole system into a dead end.
